Episode 330 gets you back to the series of An Inside Look at the NCAA, NAIA & NJCAA Websites.  Episode 326 covers the Eligibility Centers, episode 327 gives you Academic Requirements and episode 328 brings you the Guides for the College-Bound Student-Athlete.  Last week's episode, Episode 329, jumped out of the series for a look into what to do this fall to winter transition in your sport.  This week I cover Questions to Ask to college coaches or administrators as you speak with them face to face, by phone or text.  The websites give you questions straight from the voices of each level, the NCAA, the NAIA and the NJCAA.

The purpose of this series is to hone in on a subject and keep you from wasting time and getting lost as you look for recruiting information.  These website are free and are luckily full of great information to help you on your journey.  Not only does this series and The Athletic Scholarship Podcast give you staightforward and free recruting information, but it keeps you focused on your path and does not want to give your future over to someone else.  You can do your own recruiting DIY with some help of family and coaches that believe in you.

Happy Thanksgiving!  Episode 329 is a break from the series of The Inside Looks into the NCAA, NAIA & NAIA Websites.  Today I wanted to give you some information about what to do at this time of year, the transition from the Fall to the Winter sports' seasons.  This episode mainly focuses on what a Junior or Senior or a currently recruited high school student-athlete is in the recruiting process.  It covers what to you can do if your sport just finished in the Fall season or are entering your sport's Winter season or are preparing for the Spring season.  There is also information for the high school underclassman that is not in the middle of the recruiting trail.  Doing research, preparing your introductory email and your school list or making a video, sending updates or creating a nutrition plan are all tasks you will hear about for all the student-athletes that are pursuing their dream.

No matter where you are in your recruiting journey, email me, brent@recruit-me.com, and ask for the College Parameters Worksheet and the College School List Worksheet.  These are 2 helpful and free items to get you kick started at any point of your search.  Match these worksheets with the FREE Recruiting Power Pack and again you are off to a great start or you are getting a powerful boost.

Episode 328 is the 3rd episode in a series of Looks Inside the NCAA, NAIA & NJCAA webistes.  Today we send you directly to the Guides for the College-Bound Student-Athlete on each website.  These websites are free resources that will help you in your recruiting journey.  Both the NCAA and the NAIA websites have pdf guides that are updated yearly and the NJCAA website has a page on the site that leads you to helpful answers.  The NCAA guide is a 40 page pdf and the NAIA guide is a 7 page pdf.  In this episode I go through a majority of the pages in these helpful guides.  The contents includes What is the NCAA?; How to Use this Guide; NCAA Sports; Scholarships; National Letter of Intent; Thinking of Going Pro?; Our Three Divisions; Time Management; Initial Eligibility; High School Timeline; Student Registration; Test Scores; Transcripts; Equivalency Tests and Diplomas; What is a Core Course?; Nontraditional & Online Courses; Grade Point Average; Questions to Ask; Division I and Division II Academic Standards, Sliding Scale and Worksheet; Division III Requirements; Amateurism; International Students; Home School Students; Education Impacting Disabilities; Important Recruiting Terms and Recruiting Calendars.  The 7 page NAIA guide has a list of NAIA sports, Knowledge about the NAIA participation experience, What's the difference about NAIA recruiting, Can I visit a campus for a tryout?, What about letters of intent?, Admission standards, What about financial aid?, and Questions for parents to ask.

This episode of The Athletic Scholarship Podcast is the 2nd in a series of inside looks into 3 free websites provided by the NCAA, NAIA and JUCO levels of college athletic play.  Last week's episode covered the Eligibility Centers on these websites and this week's episode covers the Academic Requirements to play at each level.

The Athletic Scholarship Podcast and Recruit-Me wants to provide as many free and inexpensive recruiting resources to you, the High School Student-Athlete and the families of those students.  The NCAA.org, the NAIA.org and the NJCAA.org websites are great free resources for recruiting, but you can get paralyzed by the amount of information on each of the websites.  This episode and this series of episodes will help you focus on a subject on recruiting to help you on your recruiting path.

Find out the standards, GPA and test scores, that each level requires for you to be eligible to play your freshman year of college in your sport.  Learn what the core-courses are that are required during high school and where to find this information easily.

Episode 326 is the 1st of a series of looks into highly informational and free recruiting resources.  The NCAA.org, NAIA.org and the NJCAA.org websites are filled with helpful information about each level of play in college, about college preparation and the college experience and recruiting rules, processes and advice.  Recruit-Me an The Athletic Scholarship Podcast could just send you to those websites, but there is so much information you might get paralyzed by all the information.  You might go looking for 1 thing and get off on a totally different subject.

Today's episode dials in on the Eligibility Center information on the NCAA.org, NAIA.org and NJCAA.org websites.  I will walk you through some of the links in each website to get to the targeted Eligibility Center information.
