Episode 324 was inspired as I recently watched the Facing Nolan documentary on NetFlix.  The documentary was a 1 hour and 42 minute story about the Hall of Fame, Major League Baseball pitcher, Nolan Ryan.  Ryan first played for the New York Mets in 1966 and he played for 27 years for the Mets, the California Angels, the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers.  I remember collecting baseball cards and Nolan was a big star.  He was a hard-throwing, right-handed pitcher and it was said he threw his fastball 100+ miles per hour.  Nolan's legacy grew through the late 1970s and all through the 1980s.

The part of the story that really caught my eye was that Nolan Ryan struggled early in his pitching career.  He almost quit and through him listening to his wife, him listening and learning from new techniques with his Angel's pitching coach and his refound dedication and hard work.  Nolan had never failed and his situation, even though he is now a Hall of Famer, is very similiar to a high school or college student-athlete.

Listen in to see if you hear the similiarities.  Also, you will hear some past clips from interviews about the kind of work you need to put in.
