The Transfer Portal has been a big change in college athletics. In the past, a college student-athlete wanted to move from 1 four-year NCAA college to another four-year NCAA college, then that student-athlete would have to sit out 1 year of competitive play before they were eligible to play for the new college. Now, under a few rules, a college student-athlete can transfer 1 time without having to sit out a year. On this episode, Episode 348 of The Athletic Scholarship Podcast, you get the history of the Transfer Portal, how it works today, how it effects high school, junior college and even other college student-athletes in the recruiting world.
