Welcome to Episode 307 of The Athletic Scholarship Podcast. I learned many lessons in 30 years in the car business. My father owned a Chevrolet dealership in our small town of Ozark, MO. I started working there when I was 15 years old, washing cars, cleaning the service shop and mowing. I started to sell cars in the summers while I was attending, then, Southwest Missouri State. I sold my 1st car when I was 18 years old. One of the lessons I learned was at a meeting with others Chevrolet dealers from all over the country. Listen to this episode to see how a dealer peer group meeting ended up giving you a lesson to help you in your recruiting journey.

Episode 306 is Part 2 of 2 of the interview with Mr. Chris Ford. Chris is the father of 3 recruited athletes. In this episode Chris and I talk about his youngest daughter, Abby, and her and the family's journey to her committment to play softball at Missouri State University. In episode 305 we covered Zach and Kara's recruitments as Zach played 4 years of baseball at College of the Ozarks and Kara got an offer to play college softball, but chose to go to a different college for financial and better fit reasons.
Listen as we see how the Ford family learned from the first two recruiting journeys and how Abby set up parameters, created a school list and emailed 100s of college coaches and started getting attention that lead to her college decision.
